About Alternate Perspective 3D Ltd.

At Alternate Perspective, our aim has always been to produce the highest possible quality of rendered output in the most efficient and timely fashion. To this end, our operation is based around Newtek Lightwave 3D running on custom built Windows NT workstations. In order to minimise overheads, Alternate Perspective 3D is based in Reading, UK rather than central London.

We specialise in computer animation and digital special effects for film and broadcast television, but past work has included animation for interactive CD and DVD-ROMs, multimedia presentations, technical visualisation of products and animated corporate identities. We also have a strong background in web-site design and construction for both the Internet and intranets.

As a sideline to our animation business, we also lease time on our render farm; a large network of fast computers all dedicated to the task of rendering animation frames as quickly as they can. Our rates for hiring rendering time may well be a drastic reduction from what you may be accustomed to.

Output from animation projects or the render farm can be delivered to the client via DVD-RAM, CD-ROM, FTP or video.

Many examples of past work, and some current projects, can be seen in the ap3d.com Gallery. The Gallery is best viewed with a Javascript-capable browser (version 4 or greater).

Welcome to ap3d.com, online home of Alternate Perspective 3D Ltd.

ap3d.com is the company web site for Alternate Perspective 3D Ltd. Continuously updated and maintained, it serves as our main point of presence to the public and the industry.

In addition to containing such important information as contact details and the company portfolio, it also plays host to several tutorials and personal projects by members of the Alternate Perspective staff.

The ap3d.com site was (and still is) created using mostly Macromedia Dreamweaver, but many scripts that run behind the scenes still have to be coded by hand in a text editor.
