B5 Thunderbolt v2.1

This is the second update (August 99) to the Thunderbolt, the mesh has seen some very minor changes in the form of a cross member for the lateral exhaust ports. Exhaust light and weapon colours have been changed to something a little more in line with the show. The main reason for an update is a new set of scripts and supporting scene files. As per the previous release, scripts are used to automate thrust damper, wing animation and the infamous thruster jets. The scripts have undergone a major overhaul and are at last performing as I want them. They are now easily transplanted into other scenes, require minimal and very straight forward setting up. As well as coming with there own documentation and a little tutorial. All this for free, I must be mad.

Enjoy, Nick....

Important note, At present the scripts only function in LW 5.6 running LScript 1.4.7. They will be updated to run in LW[6] when LScript is able to handle the IPC mechanism properly. Until that day, LS 1.4.7 can be downloaded from here.

For the future: heat haze objects, auto firing cannon script/plugin

Changes since v2.0 preview: ThrusterMain2.1, includes gimbal lock fix

B5 Thunderbolt v1.2

This is the first update to the Thunderbolt, the mesh itself hasn't been changed but a new set of scripts and scene files have been created. To take advantage of the attitude jet automation. No more fiddly setting up of these items, its all done for you (sorry to spoil your fun). So for your enjoyment I present an Earth Alliance ThunderBolt v1.2. This can be down loaded and will give you something to blast Kier's Whitestar to bits with... This particular craft has been decorated in the early Maiden style (from an original image by Derek Riggs) and has seen heavy atmosphere combat (I happen to like dirt).

No self respecting EA ship would be complete with out fully automated attitude jets (included for your convenience; Nix j.m.t acceleration calculator and sub scripts to facilitate automation of the attitude jets). Its still a pain in the arse to set up all the lights and lens flares. If  I ever find time I'll fix the script to automate them too. Which believe me will be very cool as well as a major time saver (if it is possible it will require a fair bit of programming). The thrust dampers have been automated too.

I must also mention the backdrop by Dean Scott, and the EA Destroyer by Mike Stetson, which I used in the animation and/or stills.

For the future: heat haze objects, auto firing cannon script/plugin (another time saving idea that will probably never see the light of day, along with the Vorlon heavy cruiser). Don't pester me for these, they will appear when they appear if at all.
